Auto Racers for Kids at Eriez this Sunday!

Hammett, PA, July 18, 2013: “Auto Racers for Kids” is an Erie charity that specializes in helping local children. Through a series of events at local speedways and a golf tournament local kids charities are benefitted. This week the charity will visit Eriez Speedway for a night of racing and fun. Included on the charity’s agenda for this week are Chinese Auctions, including door panels, quarter panels, and helmets donated by racers, as well as baskets of goodies from local businessmen. There will also be woodcarving demonstrations and the night will be capped off with a giant fireworks display by Gibson.
Racing will see increased purses for all classes. Super Lates will race for $3000 to win while the FASTRAK Lates and E-Mods will both vie for $1000. Street Stocks and Challengers both will have $500 on the line.
Eriez Speedway is located on Sampson Road, just off Lake Pleasant Road in the town of Hammett, PA, 3 miles south of Interstate 90. Take Route 8 South from Interstate 90 Exit 29 and follow the signs starting in Hammett. Admission for all regular racing weekends is $12.00 for Adults, $10 for seniors, children 6 – 15 $6, under 6 free. Special events are more.
